together to organise this wonderful, annual event now in its 3rd
year. The Self-proclaimed dream team consist of a range of
successful professional and entrepreneurial black women from
different backgrounds. Individually they are inspirational but
together they are formidable. |

Smith
Logistics Manager
Entrepreneur Angel Smith is known for her award winning online
shoes & accessories boutique Shoe Lagoon which is based in London, however she is also
involved with a number of other projects including charity work
and writing. Angel has a special interest in events and event
organising and this is why for YBW she is our Venue
Co-ordinator.

Lillian
Ogbogoh
Programme Development & Speakers Co-ordinator
Lillian Ogbogoh is also a partner in the events management
company Vivid Occasions. Her background was within International
Relations, whilst studying at university she spent a lot of time
playing at being an event planner for friends and family. So it
seems like a natural progression to go from playing at being an
event planner. She is also a transformational communicator who
is passionate about women nurturing the divine within them and
overcoming the myths and lies that we have been fed far too long
you can also catch her on her radio show WakingPassions, she is very excited about this latest
project.

After graduating with a joint degree in Electronics & Communications
Engineering, Margaret transitioned to being an Events Manager
and today runs her own events company Vivid Occasions with her business partner, Lillian Ogbogoh.
With her creative flair she is also a freelance Graphics Artist
and Web Designer, her portfolio can be viewed at margaretudofia.com. Being a firm believer in multiple
streams of income, she is also a part time Forex Trader and MonaVie distributor.

Ronke Adeyemi
Online PR/Marketing & Sponsorship Manager
Ronke Adeyemi is a marketing consultant with a background in B2B
and B2C sectors. She has worked on various events such as the
Commonwealth Film Festival and the Streatham Festival. She also
has a huge passion for fashion as well as magazines and plans to
launch a publication in the near future. You can read her

Lawal

Ronke Lawal was born in Hackney, East London of Nigerian parentage. Having
graduated with honours from Lancaster University with a degree
in International Business she started her own business in 2004.
At 28 years old, she is a passionate business woman running RSL Management Services and the Simone Williams label. Apart from business her passions
include food, travel, music, literature and most importantly
living a life she loves.

Sophia Jackson
Stalls Manager
Sophia A Jackson is a communications professional with extensive
experience in journalism, local and international events
management and has now branched out into the field of
PR/marketing. She was responsible for last year's successful PR
campaign for Angie Le Mar's Do You Know Where Your Daughter Is. She is
also the communications manager for Tebbs SC - an organisation which collects and distributes
stationery to disadvantaged children around the world. Sophia
has an MA in journalism studies and is a freelance editor
including working on the annual Screen Nation awards brochure
and web editor of www.bfmmedia.com. She is the founder and editor of Afridiziak Theatre News, a website celebrating
African-Caribbean theatre and co founder and editor of Lime Magazine, London's leading muticultural listings guide.

Angie Brice

Angie Brice-Hessbruegge A.K.A The Hairoine was born in Haiti, raised in New York and has
lived in Berlin, Geneva and London. Although she has a B.A. in
International Relations and Spanish, and an MA in Applied
Linguistics, her true passion is hair; natural hair to be exact.
Since May 2003, the Hairoine has been on a campaign of
educating, empowering and engaging individuals into the world of
natural beauty. The Hairoine makes natural hair and beauty
products and how-to video tutorials on hair and natural
alternatives to harmful chemicals.
